Detailed Job Description
The Department of Industrial and Systems Engineering at the Rochester Institute of Technology seeks applications and nominations for a tenure-track faculty position. Depending on experience and qualifications, the position can be at the assistant, associate, or full professor rank level. Applicants must have a Ph.D. degree in Industrial Engineering or a closely related field or be ABD with expected degree completion by the Summer of 2025.
The ideal candidates should have a research focus on innovations in Supply Chain, Logistics, or Production Systems across various domains, with strong methodological foundations in Artificial Intelligence and advanced analytics. They should have a proven record of scholarly research dissemination, the potential to develop an externally sponsored research program, the capability for high-quality teaching, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to cultural diversity and pluralism.
Faculty responsibilities include conducting sponsored research, teaching at the undergraduate and/or graduate levels, advising graduate students, and contributing to the university community.

Department/College Description
The mission of the Industrial and Systems Engineering (ISE) Department (https://www.rit.edu/kgcoe/ise/) is to provide ISE education that integrates experiential learning and applied research with a student-centered approach, resulting in graduates who make immediate and long-lasting contributions to manufacturing, service, government, and academia. The ISE Department houses state-of-the-art laboratories that support courses and research activities and provide hands-on educational experiences. The AMPrint Center has world-class facilities with multi-million-dollar state-of-the-art additive manufacturing equipment supported by several full-time research scientists. The Brinkman Advanced Machine Tools Laboratory is a model for industry-academia partnership that provides access to advanced manufacturing capabilities. The Toyota Production Systems Lab mimics an assembly production facility and supports lean manufacturing training. The Human Performance Lab supports courses and research that require the integration of humans into the design of systems. Additional labs include the Healthcare Systems Engineering Lab. Our researchers have access to RIT's High Performance Computing Center, which manages over 2,300 CPU cores with 24 TB of RAM.
The ISE Department offers a BS in Industrial Engineering, and MS degrees in Industrial and Systems Engineering and Engineering Management, and a joint PhD in Mechanical and Industrial Engineering.

Required Minimum Qualifications
- PhD in Industrial Engineering or a closely related field.
